SOL HAUS is a Scandinavian inspired retreat. The design is modern yet rustic, open and inviting. The large veranda with grand wood burning fireplace invites friends and family to gather with plenty of space to move around. The moving glass wall blends the indoors with the outdoors, revealing the wonderment of the home’s natural surroundings. The main living space is your happy place flooded with natural sunlight throughout the day. The planet-friendly light and organic materials used throughout the home bring peace and serenity to your soul.

SOL HAUS is located near the scenic shores of lake michigan in the sleepy village of Union Pier. The home was designed as an all-season retreat to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature. Kick-off your summer with a dip in the glistening pool. Bask in the sun on the shores of Lake Michigan. Relax in the outdoor sauna and steam after an adventurous fall hike. Unwind in the spa after a fun day of winter skiing and sledding. Gaze at the stars by a roaring fire before turning in for the night.

Every room in SOL HAUS is designed with comfort, minimalism and sustainability in mind. Each furnishing was hand chosen or locally sourced to compliment the natural materials and surroundings of the home. A repurposed shipping container was transformed into an outdoor sauna to enjoy during brisk days. We even added a dash of vintage charm with our architectural pieces brought back from Zeeland, Michigan - the city of the original Herman Miller headquarters. Sit back and appreciate the warmth, peace and happiness of being home.

Four bathrooms make your stay convenient and comfortable.
